What's On?
The "What's On?" section is designed to tell you more about what you can currently see on your Earthsim subscriptions, as well as highlighting coming attractions. It is split into three separate sections, describing the features of the three main Earthsim projects: the Earth, the Solar System and the World of Dinosaurs.
Earthsim's Earth is a stunning high-resolution 3D model that you can control. The Earth forms the hub of the Earthsim browser interface, and is the entrance to the Earthsim universe. The Solar System (see below) is a natural extension of the current Earthsim zoom in/out interface, and in the future a timeline will allow you to travel forward in time to see the effects of climate change and wind the clock back to enter the World of Dinosaurs (see bottom).
If you subscribe to Earthsim TV, you can listen to narrated documentaries providing fascinating information about the many natural wonders of the planet, and superimpose overlays on to the surface to discover new facts about the features you can see. Earthsim's Earth will never stop growing: we will continue to add new documentaries and information overlays, such as real-time views of the clouds over the planet and the tectonic plates, to enhance your learning entertainment experience.
More about Earthsim's Earth
Explore and learn about the planets, their moons, comets and the sun! The next best thing to being there, Earthsim's Solar System will be a graphical feast for viewers, utilizing the latest technology to render and simulate the physical dynamics of the planets around us. Just like Earthsim's Earth, each body featured in the Solar System will possess its own documentaries and information overlays to highlight the incredible beauty and variation found in our solar system. Regularly updated, the Solar System will feature all the latest astronomical discoveries as they happen.
Currently the Earthsim Solar System includes the Moon, Mars, Venus, Phobos and Deimos, all with accurate orientations and orbits. Jupiter will be added in the next update.

World of Dinosaurs seeks to break new ground both technically and scientifically. World of Dinosaurs will be the first of our simulated ecosystems, in which all of the inhabitants, from the smallest herbivores up to the largest predators, will think and act in accordance with the latest behavioural theories from leading scientists. This virtual world will be broadcast in real time to Earthsim subscribers, who will be able to observe the virtual lives of all their prehistoric favourites (and many species that have not yet become household names).
