Earthsim Subscriptions Explained
Earthsim subscription products, such as the Earthsim Online Screensaver and Earthsim TV, all work in the same way: you download and install the Earthsim browser, and thereafter the browser will update itself automatically each time it is run, as new features and content become available. By default, the browser gives you access to Earthsim free content only.
You gain access to the features you want by buying an Earthsim subscription and setting up an account with us. Once you've signed in to the browser, it activates the features and content appropriate to your subscription. You do not need to download or install anything extra, the browser does this for you automatically.
Single-User Subscriptions
The standard Earthsim Online Screensaver and Earthsim TV subscriptions entitle you to install and run Earthsim on two computers, but you can only connect to the Earthsim servers from one computer at a time. If you try to connect from two computers at the same time, you get a warning saying that your connection is already in use. You can uninstall and reinstall on another computer any time you want, but the browser will show a warning message if you switch installations more often than once a day.
Each subscription lasts a year from the time of purchase, and you are reminded to renew via email after a year. When a subscription expires, content updates and live data will stop, but previously available documentaries and screensaver features remain available. Accounts with expired subscriptions may be closed after 2 months of inactivity.
Multi-User subscriptions
Discounted multi-connection and multi-user subscriptions, such as the Earthsim TV For Schools subscription, are also available. Earthsim TV For Schools allows a maximum of 20 users to be connected simultaneously on the same account, and allows installation on 40 machines.
