There is a totally harmless bug in Earthsim 1.0 that means in some circumstances the memory checker reports insufficient memory on your system. If you get this error message, please ignore it and continue as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you find Earthsim is stuck in 'Offline' mode (indicated by the word "Offline" in the lower left of the screen with the error code '17#0'), please read the following instructions on how to fix this issue.

If you run Earthsim in an institution you may have to ask your systems administrator to configure the firewall ports.

"Earthsim Stopped Unexpectedly" error while updating requires a reinstall of Earthsim.

With the Radeon 9600 or 9800 cards, some systems may show a slow down when viewing a planet while zoomed out.

The Earthsim browser crashes on rare occasion immediately after changing resolution, but recovers fully when next started.

The Earthsim browser does not run reliably on certain Intel on-board graphics chipsets.

If you installed earthsim.exe from www.screensaver.com, and you chose to install new.net, you may see a crash on exit.

Middle mouse button may not work if you use Logitech Mouseware software

Make sure your graphics drivers are more recent than 1st May 2005 before running Earthsim

Installation and use of Earthsim applications is restricted to Windows users with Administrator permission.
